Amazon; World’s Biggest Book Bank & Many More Stores to Go

Life is quick and shipments are quicker. Nobody can wait anymore nowadays. Bookstores regularly update their fresh arrivals lists, while the NYT frantically updates the monthly bestsellers in different genres. In such a milieu; my years old pal from the corner bookstore is happy selling newspapers and periodicals since people are comfier with no boundaries when it comes to getting their orders delivered in real-time and I mean books in this case.

Amazon feeds the consumers’ passion the world over.  Rightly stated as the World’s Biggest Bookstore and has transcended magnificently with time. Amazon’s online bookstores are full of different kinds of books; you name it and its there. While the Amazon physical stores are small but precise. You won’t feel disappointed.

I had always been a raving fan of Amazon stores. The nifty compilation here describes the baffling advantages of shopping at Amazon and my feelings too…

1. Very Easy to Find Any Book at Amazon Even the old ones

It’s a personal one though and I mentioned it first because that’s how I fell for it. Needless to say that Amazon enabled me to buy my favorite books from the comfort of my home. The search tools are very easy to use and organic.

2. Amazon is Book Lovers’ Best Friend

Booklover can certainly vouch for me on this, nothing seems more fun [and even disheartening at times]; than reading the reviews and rankings of one’s favorite authors and their books, especially during the initial weeks of a book release.  The book reviews are awesome and provide in-depth information about the book. Some are brutal but many are awesome, definitely helps to make a good choice.

3. Biggest Stock and Diverse Inventory

Physical bookshops have limited space and budget. Amazon bookstore are not affected by these limitations;

It is very difficult to find a unique book at physical bookstores. Ordering a rare book from such a bookstore may take weeks. On the contrary, old and famous authors and titles are easily accessible at the Amazon marketplace, no longer being published even; courtesy of old booksellers and collectors at Amazon Marketplace.

Buying books at amazon saves our time and curtails undue trips to downtown bookstores. Students nowadays buy most of their books and important reference materials online. Online purchased books are relatively cheaper than bookstores. The prudent students admit that using Amazon saves time.

All styles and categories of books are available at an Amazon bookstore, whether it’s fiction, history, cookbooks, or novels. Ordered online and also delivered in less than a day. The result is comfort.

4. Informative and Conscious Shopping Experience

Amazon customers are facilitated in choosing their next read by helpful customer reviews and feedback. Thus book purchases at Amazon are always an interactive and informative experience.

5. E-Book Reading With Amazon

Amazon enjoys excellent standing amongst e-book readers. Amazon e-bookstores are always well-stocked. E-books are immediately transferred to customers’ e-book readers, upon purchase. This facility is not comparable to physical stores and books even.

Some More Stores to Enjoy The Same Experience

1. The Book Depository

Our favorite bookstore tends to be “The Book Depository”; obviously for some really awesome reasons:

  • The online bookstore offers free worldwide shipping, so you never have to pay for your book orders and shipment, anywhere in the world
  • 19 million titles strong, book collection. Even US and British pre-school textbooks are available as well.
  • Regular special offers and discounts (Regular customers get coupons emailed to them).
  • Every book delivery accompanies small goodies like cute bookmarks etc.
  • 2. Blackwells

Blackwell’s started bookselling from a tiny room in 1879 at Oxford. Now the bookseller claims a grand number of shops and customers across the globe.

  • Bookshop’s inventory comprises more than 10 million titles that are delivered the world over.
  • Blackwells extends exciting offers to the customers. These include the author’s signed copies, pre-orders, book tokens, and gift cards. The booksellers offer free shipping the world over, ensuring delivery with 2-4 business days inside the UK and 10-15 days for the rest of the world.

3. Bookshop.org

  • Its yet again a Bookstore akin to Amazon; that hosts more than 1000 Bookshops on its platform and supports more than 30,000 independent sellers across the USA and UK.
  • Indeed, such a large clientele manifests a generous and omnipotent response. Bookshop.org currently delivers orders only to the US and United Kingdom.
  • The bookstore is a lot more than just a bookstore. It aims at supporting the local book stores irrespective of their affiliations. A good thought indeed.
  • The bookstore offers a diverse collection of books, in a variety of genres. The new releases are adequately stocked and the best-sellers are the eye-catchers.

Happy readings, folks!
